Living
Amanda Moore
is a pastor's wife, mother, homeschooler & watercolor artist
Over the course of homeschooling her own children, Amanda developed a love for children's books. She especially loves living books which led her to name the community center the "Living Library". While the name implies a sense of vibrancy and life, it also means that the goal is to share books that are experiential. Contrasted against a dry text book, living books pull the reader in as though he or she is living in the adventure and feeling the emotions of the characters.
As a watercolor artist and lover of music, Amanda hopes to offer classes and workshops for kids of this community and the surrounding area.

Jason Moore
is a pastor, husband, father, counselor & wearer of many hats
Having grown up in Helen, Jason returned here with his family in 2007. He and his wife renovated their old, coal camp house with the help of family and have lived in Helen for 11 years. Jason was always in favor of homeschooling the children and has been the financial backer of the purchase of many, many books and a helpful voice of reason along the journey.
Jason has ministered the Word of God through song and preaching for years. At the age of 40, he returned to college to earn his Master's degree and became a counselor. He is a shepherd at heart.
